After Dürer: Apocalyptic Series

In this series of seven works I transformed Dürer’s famous individual prints on the Apocalypse by combining them digitally into pairs. My interest in doing this was to make a more complicated chaotic narrative where parts of one narrative meld into one another creating a new possible transmutation of this story. To make my images I used digital technology to superimpose his woodblock images. In order to come up with a more compelling and coherent visual drama I kept some of the important events and figures more visible and front and center.
